Michael H. Freeman is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department.  He has been affiliated with the Firm since 1997, during which time he has engaged in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters pending in state and federal courts. Mr. Freeman concentrates his practice on the representation of a variety of business enterprises (including large and mid-size corporations, hospitals and schools) in complex litigation involving contract disputes, commercial torts and real estate controversies.  He has defended public entities in matters involving civil rights and constitutional deprivations and businesses and supervisors in employment discrimination, wrongful discharge and other employment-related litigation.

Mr. Freeman has also successfully pursued and defended appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of New Jersey.  Several of the litigation matters handled by Mr. Freeman have resulted in published state and federal decisions including:  Harris v. State Police, 2008 WL 141503 (D. N.J. 2008); Affiliated Mortgage Protection, LLC v. Tareen, 2007 WL 203947 (D. N.J. 2007); Kelley v. Edison Twp., 2006 WL 1084217 (D. N.J. 2006); Smalls v. Allstate, 396 F. Supp. 2d 354 (S.D.N.Y. 2005); Kanofsky v. UMDNJ, 50 Fed. Appx. 546 (3d Cir. 2002).

Mr. Freeman is a magna cum laude graduate of George Washington University Law School, where he served on the George Washington Law Review.  He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the courts of the states of New Jersey and New York.  Mr. Freeman formerly served on the New Jersey Supreme Court District Ethics Committee and was a Barrister in the Employment Law American Inn of Court.
